How did the Varne come into being?
Our Homestead was staked in January of 1982, the first building on the property was a large Teepee that was blessed by the Blackfoot Tribe of Montana.
 The first house was built and moved into in August of 1983. This is where James has lived, raised, and homeschooled his daughter. His daughter is now grown and moved out on her own.
James is a seasoned "Bush Pilot" and well known to the homesteaders in the area. Making ends meet has not always been easy for everyone out here in the wilderness, and sometimes a flight delivery of fuel/food supplies was paid for with live chickens or fresh produce from the homesteaders gardens. | |
